The juggernaut jukebox musical Jersey Boys is back at the Bristol Hippodrome this month.
Does this well-loved show, which tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, still have its sparkle?…
Leading the cast is the utterly superb Ryan Heenan as Frankie Valli, whose vocals soared, especially during the iconic number “Can’t Take My Eyes off You”.
The whole cast were firing on all cylinders, with the standouts – Michael Levi as the fabulous Bob Crewe, a passionate Emma Crossley as Mary Delgado and ensemble member Damien Winchester stealing every scene they were in.
Simple yet clever staging keeps the action moving at a fast pace, aided by slick choreography and dazzling lighting.
Still one of the best jukebox musicals around, a complete nostalgia trip at the theatre, stuffed full of classic songs, you didn’t even realise you knew.
Oh what a night indeed!
