Linus Karp brings the controversially titled one-man play from award-winning playwright Rob Hayes to Bristol, which is currently on its UK tour.

The description of this show reads “One-night stands are awkward. One-night stands with animals are more awkward. And when you’re as desperate to please as Bobby, things get awkward as f*ck. He’s just a guy with too much love to give, and a burning desire to give it to consensual adult mammals.”

Linus Karp is the charmingly awkward star of this one-man play. He brings a playful innocence to the role of Bobby and manages to make the idea of his animal liaisons oddly endearing.

The tone of this play gradually gets more serious as it goes on, culminating in some dark admissions from Bobby about his childhood and relationship with his father. It was rather haunting and strangely moving.

The setting for this show is a makeshift bedroom, which had cute little touches. The set design and lighting work well in such an intimate space.

This show is a darkly comic treat, with a tour de force performance from Linus Karp. Go see it!
