⭐ LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS – UK REVIVAL ANNOUNCED FOR LEEDS PLAYHOUSE & OXFORD PLAYHOUSE ⭐
A brand-new UK revival of the musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS has been announced.
A new production of the killer cult classic with bite is being produced by the Leeds Playhouse, in association with Oxford Playhouse, premiering next Summer.
Directed by Leeds Playhouse associate artistic director Jamie Sophia Fletcher, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS sinks its teeth into the show’s gloriously dark roots, fusing the razor-sharp wit of the Broadway stage musical with retro B-movie mayhem and the campy horror thrills of the original 1986 musical film.
Expect a bold, stylish revival that revels in the grotesque, the hilarious, and the irresistibly catchy.
Down on Skid Row, Seymour Krelborn is a timid florist’s assistant with big dreams and even bigger problems. When he discovers a mysterious plant he names Audrey II, everything changes. This seductive, wisecracking, R&B-singing carnivore offers him fame, fortune, and the girl of his dreams… but there’s just one small catch, it needs to be fed… Blood! As Seymour’s fortunes grow, so too does Audrey II’s appetite and its sinister plan for world domination begins to unfurl.
Packed with unforgettable songs by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, the legendary duo behind Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS has captivated audiences for decades. This thrilling new staging sharpens its edge, embracing the show’s deliciously macabre heart while delivering laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning visuals, and feel-good night at the theatre.
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will play Leeds Playhouse, running from 23rd June – 17th July 2027, with tickets on general sale from 7th May 2026.
It will also play Oxford Playhouse in Summer 2027, with tickets going on sale later this year.
