⭐ YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN – LONDON REVIVAL ANNOUNCED FOR UPSTAIRS AT THE GATEHOUSE – CHRISTMAS 2023 ⭐
A London revival of the musical YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN has been announced for at Upstairs at the Gatehouse.
This will be the first in-house musical, since Annlouise Butt and Isaac Bernier-Doyle took over as Artistic Directors of Upstairs at the Gatehouse, who commented: “We are excited and mildly terrified to be continuing John and Katie Plews’ holiday tradition of ambitious revivals of musical theatre classics which push the boundaries of our intimate Off West End setting.”
Charlie Brown is five years old and trying his best. But things just don’t seem to go his way: his kite won’t fly, the Little Red-Haired Girl won’t look at him, and he’s not even sure his dog Snoopy likes him all that much!
With a charming book and hilarious songs brought to life by a wonderful five-piece band, the beloved PEANUTS characters urge us to find happiness in the everyday and serve as a reminder that we’re all just grown-up children trying our best to figure it out.
Featuring director & choreographer Amanda Noar (she/her), musical director Harry Style (he/him), assistant director Isaac Bernier-Doyle (he/him), set designer Ruby Boswell-Green (she/her), costume designer Holly Louise Chapman (she/her) and producer Annlouise Butt (she/her) for Chromolume productions.
YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN is based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M Schulz. Featuring book, music & lyrics by Clark Gesner, with additional dialogue by Michael Mayer. Additional music & lyrics by Andrew Lippa.
YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN will play Upstairs at the Gatehouse, running from 14th December 2023 – 14th January 2024, with tickets on sale now.
