⭐ RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN’S SOUTH PACIFIC – LONDON TRANSFER ANNOUNCED – SADLER’S WELLS – JULY 2022 ⭐
Chichester Festival Theatre’s critically acclaimed, landmark production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific transfers to Sadler’s Wells in 2022 for a strictly limited season, it has been announced.
Daniel Evans’ production will open at Manchester Opera House on 16th July 2022 ahead of the season at Sadler’s Wells, London, which will play from 27th July – 28th August 2022.
It will then tour the UK & Ireland visiting Dublin, Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Canterbury.
This powerful love story, set on a South Pacific island during World War ll, is brought thrillingly to life in an epic new five-star production directed by Chichester Festival Theatre’s Artistic Director Daniel Evans (Me and My Girl and Fiddler on the Roof). With a sensational cast of over thirty led by Julian Ovenden (Bridgerton, Downton Abbey, Merrily We Roll Along and Grand Hotel) and a full orchestra, this ravishing musical is set to be the must-see theatrical event of the year.
Boasting one of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most memorable scores, this much-loved Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical features songs such as Some Enchanted Evening, I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair and Bali Ha’i.
This follows on from the news of a UK tour happening, which has also now been confirmed.
South Pacific will play Sadler’s Wells, running from 27th July – 28th August 2022.
