RIDE – A NEW MUSICAL ANNOUNCED FOR SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE

⭐ RIDE – A NEW MUSICAL ANNOUNCED FOR SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE ⭐

Multi-award-winning new musical RIDE is returning to London, it has been announced.

RIDE is set to play the Southwark Playhouse Elephant this July, following its critically acclaimed, sell out run in London last year.

The show will preview at the Curve Theatre Leicester from 7th – 15th July.

It’s 1895 and Annie Londonderry has returned victorious to America, hailed as the first woman ever to cycle around the world. She’s pioneering, she’s plucky, and she’s pitching her story to the newspapers. But as she approaches rough terrain, can Annie regain her footing, or will she have to confront the past she left behind?

Join Annie on the journey of a lifetime in the smash-hit musical about adventure, determination, and rewriting your narrative. Liv Andrusier, Off West End Award winner for her “barnstorming performance” (The Stage) as Annie Londonderry, returns to the saddle in this five-star production that “ticks literally all of the boxes” (Musical Theatre Musings).

Also starring Katy Ellis as Martha Smith and Fallon Mondlane as Understudy Annie Londonderry and Martha Smith.

RIDE was also nominated for the Best Musical Theatre Book Writing in the 2022 Writers Guild Awards. An earlier try-out was named VAULT Festival Show of the Week and won an Off West End OFFCOM Award. The title song was nominated for the 2020 Stiles and Drewe Best New Song Prize.

The original cast album is also set to be released on 9th June by Broadway Records.

RIDE has a book, music & lyrics by Freya Catrin Smith and Jack Williams. Produced by DEM Productions.

RIDE will play the Southwark Playhouse Elephant, running from 19th July – 12th August 2023, with tickets on sale now.
