⭐ NATALIE MENDOZA TO STAR AS SATINE IN BROADWAY PRODUCTION OF MOULIN ROUGE! ⭐
Natalie Mendoza will star in the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge!, it has been announced
Mendoza, who played China Doll in the 2001 Baz Luhrmann hit Moulin Rouge!, will take on the lead role of Satine when the stage adaptation reopens on Broadway.
She replaces Tony winner Karen Olivo, who has decided not to return to the production.
Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film comes to life onstage, remixed in a new musical mash-up extravaganza. A theatrical celebration of truth, beauty, freedom and — above all — love, Moulin Rouge! is more than a musical; it is a state of mind.
Performances are set to resume from 24th September 2021 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
I’m beyond jealous that the Broadway production gets to have Natalie as their Satine. She was my Gigi in the West End production of Miss Saigon, which sparked my musical theatre obsession. Broadway is in for a treat, she’s incredible.
