The cast and creatives have been announced for the UK premiere of A Sherlock Carol.

The worlds of Charles Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle combine on stage in this instant holiday classic, coming to London for the first time. It will play the new Marylebone Theatre, just a stone’s throw from Holmes’ fictional base at 221B Baker Street itself.

The UK premiere will star Ben Caplan (Call The Midwife) as Sherlock Holmes with Kammy Darweish (Life of Pi) as Ebenezer Scrooge.

Also starring Rosie Armstong (A Small Family Business) as The Countess and others,
Richard James (Gangsta Granny) as Dr Watson and others, Gemma Laurie making her London stage debut as Emma Wiggins and others with Damian Lynch (The Comedy About a Bank Robbery) as Dr Cratchit and others.

A Sherlock Carol is written & directed by Mark Shanahan, featuring scenic design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Linda Cho, lighting design by Rui Rita and composer & sound design by John Gromada,

With casting director Abby Galvin, associate director Franny Rafferty, associate scenic designer William Fricker, associate lighting designer Holly Ellis, associate costume designer Ricky Lurie and costume supervisor Jo Lewis.

A Sherlock Carol will play Marylebone Theatre, running from 18th November 2022 – 7th January 2023, with tickets on sale now.
