⭐ SUMMER HOLIDAY – THE MUSICAL – UK REVIVAL ANNOUNCED ⭐
A new UK revival of the stage musical adaptation of SUMMER HOLIDAY has been announced.
The iconic 1960s film is now the feel-good musical of the year!
Aboard a double decker bus, Don and his friends are on a fun-packed trip to Paris, The Alps, Italy and Greece, in search of a good time and a brilliant summer. On the way they encounter pop bands, runaway pops stars and of course holiday romance.
Bursting with classic feel-good hits from the golden age of 60s pop, the show features favourites made famous by Cliff Richard and the era’s biggest stars, including “Summer Holiday”, “Bachelor Boy”, “Move It”, “Dancing Shoes”, “The Young Ones”, “In the Country” and more.
SUMMER HOLIDAY is a Sheffield Theatres production in association with Blackpool Grand Theatre, announced as part of Elizabeth Newman’s inaugural season as artistic director of Sheffield Theatres.
SUMMER HOLIDAY is directed by Elizabeth Newman & Ben Occhipinti, adapted for the stage by Michael Gyngell & Mark Haddigan and featuring orchestrations by Keith Strachan.
Based on the film SUMMER HOLIDAY, directed by Peter Yates, screenplay by Ronald Cass and Peter Myers and by special arrangement with StudioCanal.
SUMMER HOLIDAY will play the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, running from 20th June – 18 July 2026 and The Grand Theatre, Blackpool, running from 29th July – 8th August 2026, with tickets on sale now.
