The full cast for the UK regional premiere of FUN HOME has been announced.
After taking America and London by storrm, the Tony Award-winning musical FUN HOME arrives in Manchester this summer for its UK regional premiere at the Royal Exchange.
Starring Jodie McNee as Alison Bechdel, alongside Olivier Award-winning Nigel Harman as Bruce Bechdel, Alex Young as Helen Bechdel and Alice Audrey O’Hanlon as Medium Alison.
Also starring Natasha Cottriall as Joan, Lucca Chadwick-Patel as Roy, Bobby, Mark & Pete, with Jennifer Caldwell and Alfie Richards as Off-Stage Cover.
Featuring Lillie Babb, Felicity L.J. Moore and Harriet O’Shea as young Alison, Reggie Kempson, Finley Litchfield and Reuben Sheperd as John and Morris McKinley, Arthur Lyons and Theo Wake as Christian.
Join cartoonist Alison Bechdel on a journey into her childhood memories, remembering what it’s like to grow up in a funeral home, undergo a sexual awakening in college and try to make sense of the secrets at the heart of your family.
This groundbreaking modern masterpiece is a tale of grief and love, queer tragedy and queer joy, told through soaring, revelatory songs.
FUN HOME will be directed by Sarah Frankcom, featuring choreography & intimacy direction by Jenni Jackson, music supervision & direction by Matthew Malone, design by Peter Butler, lighting design by Bethany Gupwell, sound design by Tony Gayle, associate direction by Emma Baggott and casting direction by Natalie Gallacher CDG For Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting.
FUN HOME has music by Jeanine Tesori, with a book & lyrics by Lisa Kron. Based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel.
FUN HOME will play Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, running from 3rd July – 1st August 2026, with tickets on sale now.
