Further casting has been announced for the upcoming UK tour of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG.
Starring Ellie Nunn as Truly Scrumptious, Elaine C. Smith as the Childcatcher (Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Inverness), Martin Callaghan as Baron/Sid, Jenny Gayner as Baroness/Violet, Adam Stafford as Boris, Michael Joseph as Goran and John Macaulay as The Toymaker.
Featuring Charlie Bishop, Ruaraidh Blackwood, Hadrian Delacey, Belle Kizzy Green, Kirsty Ingram, Bibi Jay, Isabella Mason, Theo UK Rose and Callum Train, with Tia Gyngell, Joe Press, Molly Rees Howe and Luke Woollaston as swings.
Jemima Potts will be played by Gracie Cochrane, Isla Ithier, Isabella Manning and Jasmine Nyenya.
Jeremy Potts will be played by Ayrton English, Charlie McGuire, Roshan Thomson and Louis Wilkins.
They join the previously announced Adam Garcia as Caractacus Potts and Liam Fox as Grandpa Potts. Further casting to be announced at a later date.
The new production will open at Mayflower Theatre, Southampton in April 2024 before heading out on a UK tour.
Based on Ian Fleming’s timeless story for children and later made into the famous 1968 film, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG features the unforgettable songs by the Sherman Brothers including Toot Sweets, Hushabye Mountain, Truly Scrumptious and the Academy Award-nominated title song, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG will be directed by Thom Southerland, choreographed by Karen Bruce with set & costume design by Morgan Large, orchestrations and musical supervision by George Dyer and casting by Debbie O’Brien. Produced by David Ian for Crossroads Live.
