⭐ BABIES – A NEWBORN MUSICAL ANNOUNCED FOR THE OTHER PALACE – MAY 2024 ⭐
The new British coming-of-age musical BABIES will play a strictly limited 6-week season at The Other Palace this summer, it has been announced.
This fresh, heart-wrenching musical about identity, friendship and growing up will star Ashley Goh as Alex, Bradley Riches as Toby, Grace Towning as Cover Leah/Grace/Becky, Jaina Brock-Patel as Becky, Lauren Conroy as Jasmine, Lucy Carter as Lulu, Max Mulrenan as Ben, Morgan Philips as Alternate Toby, Cover Jacob/Ben, Nathan Johnston as Jacob, Rowan MacPherson as Cover Jasmine/Alex/Lulu, Viola Maisey as Grace and Zoe Athena as Leah.
With music and lyrics by Jack Godfrey (42 Balloons, This Is A Love Story) and book by Martha Geelan, this fully realised production of BABIES follows hot on the heels of their sell-out concert series in November 2023 at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Four of the tracks from the infectious pop-rock score including Baby, Baby, Baby, Hot Dad, Someone Else and Without Saying Goodbye are available to stream and have already been played over 100,000 times.
BABIES is directed by Martha Geelan, with orchestrations, vocal arrangements & music supervision by Joe Beighton, choreography by Alexzandra Sarmiento, set & costume design by Jasmine Swan, sound design by Paul Gatehouse, lighting design by Will Hayman, musical direction by Lauren Hopkinson, casting by Harry Blumenau CGD CDA, associate director Molly Stacey, production manager Martyn Sands and props & costume supervisor Sarah Booth.
