⭐ MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET – NEW REVIVAL ANNOUNCED FOR THE BARN THEATRE ⭐
A new revival of the musical Million Dollar Quartet will make its debut as part of the Barn Theatre’s 2022 season, it has been announced.
Million Dollar Quartet follows the events of the December 4, 1956, recording session at Memphis’ Sun Studio that brought four of the music’s best talents together for a once-in-a-life-time event: Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley.
The recording session retains its historical significance as a landmark event in the age of Rock n’ Roll, and a milestone for the genre in the ever-changing world of the 20th century popular culture and mass media.
Million Dollar Quartet is inspired by the electrifying true story, with book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, original concept and direction by Floyd Mutrux. Inspired by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. The new revival of the one-act musical features songs from each of the legendary performers.
Million Dollar Quartet will play the Barn Theatre in Cirencester, running from 6th June – 16th July 2022.
