Tony and Grammy winning actress Idina Menzel is in talks to join Sony’s musical Cinderella.
Menzel is poised to play Evelyn, the evil stepmother. This comes hot on the heels that Emmy winner Billy Porter has been confirmed for the role of the fairy godmother.
This new original musical adaptation of Cinderella will be written & directed by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect), starring Camila Cabello in the the title role.
Fabulous that we are getting some musical theatre LEGENDS show their musical talents on the big screen.
This sounds like it could be epic! ! !
