⭐ WHAT’S NEW PUSSYCAT? – FEAT. SONGS OF TOM JONES – WORLD PREMIERE ANNOUNCED FOR BIRMINGHAM REP – OCTOBER 2021 ⭐
The world premiere of the new musical, featuring the hit songs of Sir Tom Jones, What’s New Pussycat? has been announced.
The new musical was set to debut at Leeds Playhouse in October 2020 but original plans were disrupted due to the pandemic.
Announced as part of its 50th anniversary season, the show will instead have its world premiere at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, running from 8th October – 14th November 2021.
Adapted from Henry Fielding’s The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling, What’s New Pussycat? is written by Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis The Musical), with direction by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet) and choreography by Arlene Phillips.
This joyous, romantic and highly entertaining new musical includes Tom Jones’ greatest hit songs: Green, Green Grass of Home, It’s Not Unusual, Leave Your Hat On, Delilah, Mama Told Me Not To Come, Sex Bomb and, of course, What’s New Pussycat?.
