⭐ TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET TO PLAY YOUNG WILLY WONKA IN NEW MOVIE MUSICAL – WONKA ⭐
Timothée Chalamet will star a musical based on the early life of Willy Wonka, it has been announced.
The Warner Bros. prequel film serves as an origin story of Willy Wonka.
The character Willy Wonka first appeared in Roald Dahl’s 1964 children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and its 1972 sequel Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. The eccentric owner of the Wonka Chocolate Factory, he has been previously portrayed by Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp in film.
Since the upcoming movie takes place before the chocolate factory opened, Charlie and company won’t be making an appearance in Wonka.
Representatives for Chalamet have confirmed he will be singing and dancing in the movie.
Paul King (Paddington, Paddington 2) is directing, with David Heyman (Harry Potter) producing. Wonka is based on a script by Simon Rich.
Wonka is scheduled to be released 17th March 2023.
