A brand new revival of the hit musical TICK, TICK… BOOM! has been announced for Theatr Clwyd.
The musical, by the visionary creator of the cult-classic RENT, will reopen the theatre in 2025, following its major redevelopment.
New York. Jon is struggling – a dead-end job, a girlfriend who wants to settle down, and a musical he can’t finish. Does he leave the city and his dreams behind, or, follow his passion but risk losing everything?
TICK, TICK… BOOM! is an autobiographical musical about the ambition, perseverance and sacrifice needed to reach the edge of greatness.
The show that inspired Netflix’s hit film directed by Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda, starring Andrew Garfield.
The musical will be directed by Kate Wasserberg, coming hot on the heels of her West End production of Boys From the Blackstuff.
TICK, TICK… BOOM! has a book, music & lyrics by Jonathan Larson, with script consultant David Auburn and vocal arrangements & orchestrations by Stephen Oremus.
TICK, TICK… BOOM! will play Theatr Clwyd, in Mold, Wales, running from 2nd – 28th June 2025, with tickets on sale now.
