Then, Now & Next, a heartwarming, original musical from writers Christopher J Orton and Jon Robyns, has been announced for Southwark Playhouse Borough.

Starring West End star Alice Fearn (Wicked, Come From Away) and directed by Julie Atherton, with further casting to be announced.

Julie Atherton will perform the role of Alex Shaw on 13th & 29th July 2023.

Struggling with a difficult past, Alex Shaw is attempting to take steps forward. We follow her journey over twenty years, through two loves – young, adventurous idealist, Stephen, and the older, reliable and charming Peter – as she gathers the scattered chapters of her life, in the hope of re-building her story and asking if she will ever be more than just “fine”.

Through Alex’s experiences, her uplifting story questions how relationships can change over time and explores what it takes to truly heal.

Then, Now & Next – Accept what was. Embrace what could be.

Then, Now & Next is written by Christopher J Orton & Jon Robyns, directed by Julie Atherton and orchestrations, arrangements and musical supervision by Ben Goddard-Young. Featuring musical direction by Honor Halford-MacLeod, movement direction by Alexzandra Sarmiento, set & costume design by Bob Sterrett, lighting design by Adam King, sound design by Raffaela Pancucci, production management by Titch Gosling, produced & general managed by Paul Virides Productions and dramaturgy by Kate Golledge.

Then, Now & Next will play Southwark Playhouse Borough, running from 23rd June – 29th July 2023.
