A West End transfer of the critically-acclaimed new musical THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY has been announced.
Following a sold-out run, the Chichester Festival Theatre production of THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY transfers to the West End. It will begin performances at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, London on 29th January 2026.
Funny, profound, deeply moving and uplifting, THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY is a joyous new musical adapted by Rachel Joyce from her multi-million selling novel, with “a ravishing score” (The Times) by the chart-topping indie musician, Passenger and directed by Katy Rudd.
Recreating their roles are Mark Addy (The Full Monty, Game of Thrones) as Harold and Jenna Russell (Sunday in the Park with George, Hello, Dolly) as Maureen. Further casting is yet to be announced.
THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY has music & lyrics by Passenger, with a book by Rachel Joyce, based on the novel by Rachel Joyce.
THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY will play the Theatre Royal Haymarket, running from 29th January – 18th April 2026, with tickets on general sale from 10th September 2025.
