The West End production of The Book of Mormon is set to return in July 2021, it has been revealed.

Performances are set to resume 12th July 2021. This follows on recent of news of Mamma Mia! and The Phantom of the Opera’s planned return in June 2021.

The Book of Mormon follows the journey of two Mormon missionaries who travel to Africa to preach their religion. They share their scriptures with a small village in Uganda, but find it difficult to interest the locals who have much bigger things to worry about: AIDS, famine, and local warlords.

Featuring hilarious songs like “Hello”, “All American Prophet”, “I Believe” and “I Am Africa”.

The Book of Mormon has a book, music and lyrics by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, and the mind behind the hit musical Avenue Q, Robert Lopez.

Choreography for The Book of Mormon musical is by Casey Nicholaw, who co-directs the show with Parker.

This is encouraging news, with it looking likely that most Delfont Mackintosh shows are aiming for middle of next year to resume, dependant on social distancing being removed by then.
