⭐ TELL ME ON A SUNDAY – STARRING MARTI WEBB – FILMED PERFORMANCE TO BE REBROADCAST ON BBC FOUR ⭐
The filmed concert performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Don Black’s classic musical Tell Me On A Sunday, starring Marti Webb, is to be rebroadcast on BBC Four, it has been announced.
The television special is set to air on BBC Four on 30th March 2023 – 22:40pm.
Originally airing over 42 years ago, it was filmed live at the Royalty Theatre on 29th January 1980. The event was hosted by Bill Boggs, and accompanied by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
The performance was conducted by Harry Rabinowitz, featuring musicians Rod Argent, John Mole, Barbara Thompson, Jon Hiseman and was produced by Herbert Chappell.
Tell Me On A Sunday is a one-woman show that charts the course of a young English girl newly arrived in New York.
Brimming with optimism, she sets out to seek success, companionship and, of course, love. But as she weaves her way through the maze of the city and her own anxieties, frustrations and heartaches she begins to wonder whether – in fact – she’s been looking for love in all the wrong places.
Tell Me On A Sunday has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black.
