A 30th anniversary revival of the cult musical TANZ DER VAMPIRE has been announced.
Finally, one of the most successful German-language musicals of all time returns to Stuttgart – TANZ DER VAMPIRE.
Just in time for its 30th anniversary, the cult musical by Michael Kunze and Jim Steinman invites audiences to the midnight ball once again in an impressive new production of the original – more mystical, fascinating, and eerie than ever before.
While searching for vampires, the eccentric researcher Professor Abronsius comes dangerously close to his goal in the heart of Transylvania. His young assistant Alfred falls in love with the innkeeper’s daughter Sarah – but the sinister Count von Krolock also has his eye on the beautiful woman and lures her to his castle.
Since its world premiere in 1997 at Vienna’s Raimund Theater, the musical has become a global phenomenon. Over 11 million spectators in 15 countries and 13 languages, as well as more than 11,000 performances, speak for themselves. Stuttgart, in particular, is one of the most successful venues: more than 3.7 million visitors have already celebrated the vampires here – and have repeatedly demanded their return.
