The previously announced Tammy Faye musical will open at the Almeida Theatre later this year, it has been announced.
Baz Bamigboye revealed that the new musical, based on the life of the infamous televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker, will premiere at the Almeida Theatre in Autumn 2022.
The new musical will feature songs by Sir Elton John and Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears, with a book by Tony–nominated playwright James Graham.
Almeida Theatre artistic director Rupert Goold will direct the new musical. More details to be announced.
