Original STANDING AT THE SKY’S EDGE cast members will reunite for an exclusive concert performance at Rushfest 2026, it has been announced.
Actors and Rushfest founders Rachael Wooding and George Maquire are delighted to announce a truly special event for this year’s festival: the reunion of the original Crucible Theatre, National Theatre and West End casts of the Olivier Award-winning musical STANDING AT THE SKY’S EDGE.
For the first time ever, this extraordinary collection of acclaimed performers will come together on one stage to celebrate the music of legendary Sheffield singer-songwriter Richard Hawley, performing songs from the award-winning production in a unique concert event created exclusively for Rushfest.
Featuring an exceptional line-up of West End stars including Joel Harper-Jackson, Maimuna Memon, Lauryn Redding, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Robert Lonsdale, Alex Young, Baker Mukasa, Rachael Wooding and more, this promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime theatre experience for fans of the show and lovers of outstanding live music alike.
Taking place on Sunday 16th August 2026, Rushfest is a one-day music extravaganza showcasing an eclectic range of artists and genres. Audiences can enjoy everything from Blues Rock and Fleetwood Mac classics to Jazz and much more throughout the day.
Also appearing at the festival are celebrated musical theatre performers Joanna Woodward (The Producers) and Charlotte Riby (Jesus Christ Superstar, Waitress), adding further star power to an already outstanding programme.
