SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE’S THE LAST FIVE YEARS TO BE STREAMED ONLINE

⭐ SOUTHWARK PLAYHOUSE’S THE LAST FIVE YEARS TO BE STREAMED ONLINE ⭐

The critically acclaimed Southwark Playhouse production of The Last Five Years will be streamed online, it has been announced.

The production recently resumed performances, after its critically acclaimed run was cut short in March, in a newly configured socially distanced auditorium with limited seating capacity.

Jason Robert Brown’s Drama Desk Award winning musical, The Last Five Years, is an emotionally powerful and intimate show about two New Yorkers who fall in and out of love over the course of five years.

The musical’s unconventional structure unfolds as Cathy tells her story in reverse, from the end of their turbulent relationship, whilst Jamie tells his story chronologically from the spark of their initial meeting. The two characters meet only once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

The Last Five Years stars Molly Lynch as Cathy and Oli Higginson as Jamie.

The creative team will include choreographer Sam Spencer-Lane, set and costume designer Lee Newby, lighting designer Jamie Platt and sound designer Adam Fisher. Musical direction and orchestration are by George Dyer and be directed by Jonathan O’Boyle (The View UpStairs).

The Last Five Years is currently playing the Southwark Playhouse for live audiences until 14th November.

Streaming performances for a global audience will be available on five occasions between 26th – 29th November.
