⭐ SOME LIKE IT HOT – THE MUSICAL – WEST END TRANSFER PLANNED FOR 2025 ⭐
The Tony Award-winning musical SOME LIKE IT HOT will transfer to the West End in 2025, it has been announced.
The plans were announced alongside news that the Broadway production is set to close. SOME LIKE IT HOT will play its final Broadway performance on 30th December 2023.
A US national tour is set to open Sept 2024, followed by a West End production planned for 2025.
Set in Chicago when Prohibition has everyone thirsty for a little excitement, SOME LIKE IT HOT is the story of two musicians forced to flee the Windy City after witnessing a mob hit. With gangsters hot on their heels, they catch a cross-country train for the life-chasing, life-changing trip of a lifetime.
And what a trip it is! With its irresistible combination of heart and laughs, song and dance, SOME LIKE IT HOT won more theatre awards than any show this year, including 4 Tony Awards (Best Actor, Best Costumes, Best Orchestrations, and Best Choreography) and was named Best Musical by the Drama Desk, The Drama League, and the Outer Critics Circle.
SOME LIKE IT HOT has a score by Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman, with a book by Matthew López & Amber Ruffin. Based on the classic Billy Wilder film. Directed & choreographed by Casey Nicholaw.
