⭐ RUMOUR – RODGERS & HART’S ON YOUR TOES REVIVAL PLANNED ⭐
A new revival of Rodgers & Hart’s On Your Toes will reportedly be coming to London later this year.
Rodgers & Hart’s On Your Toes is an improbable mix of gangsters, vaudeville and classical ballet. It was the first musical to successfully integrate classical dance into the Broadway musical format.
Songs include “Glad to be Unhappy,” “There’s A Small Hotel” and the legendary ballet “Slaughter on Tenth Avenue.”
The original 1936 production was choreographed by George Balanchine and starred Ray Bolger, Tamara Geva and Monty Woolley.
On Your Toes has a book by George Abbott, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, music by Richard Rodgers, and lyrics by Lorenz Hart.
Oliver award nominated choreographer Andrew Wright teased an announcement on his twitter.
I’m a huge fan of Andrew Wright’s work, so I really hope this is it. Definitely an interesting show I’d love to watch! ! !
