⭐ RUMOUR – DEATH NOTE – THE MUSICAL – LONDON RETURN PLANNED – SUMMER 2026 ⭐
The award-winning DEATH NOTE – THE MUSICAL will return to London it has been rumored.
The musical will reportedly return, in a brand-new full-scale production, coming to London next summer.
The musical received its first performances in English in 2023, when a semi-staged concert production was presented at The London Palladium and later at the Lyric Theatre.
The new full-scale production will reportedly not be based on the previous concert production.
Based on the popular Japanese manga and anime series created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, DEATH NOTE follows a student who gains possession of a supernatural notebook granting him the power to kill anyone whose name he writes in it.
The musical first premiered in Japan in 2015, produced by HoriPro, and has since been staged across Asia, including in South Korea.
DEATH NOTE – THE MUSICAL has music by Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, Bonnie & Clyde) and lyrics by Jack Murphy, with a book by Ivan Menchell.
Very intruiged to see a different full-scale production, considering how the concert production already felt like one! ! !
