⭐ RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN’S CAROUSEL – KILWORTH HOUSE THEATRE REVIVAL – CAST ANNOUNCED ⭐
Casting has been announced for the Kilworth House Theatre revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel.
Emma Kingston and Matt Blaker will lead the new production as Julie Jordan and Billy Bigelow, respectively.
Also starring Julie Yamannee (Carrie Pipperidge), Tom Sterling (Enoch Snow), Madalena Alberto (Nettie Fowler), George Maddison (Jigger Craigin) and Lara Denning (Mrs Mullin).
Also featuring Genevieve Heron (Louise Bigelow), Kevin Brewis (Mr Bascombe), Charles Butcher (Young Enoch), Alastair Postlewaite (Carnival Boy) and Alan Vicary (Dr Seldon).
Appearing in the ensemble are Stuart Rouse, Gareth Moran, Diante Lodge, Luke Jarvis, Rhodri Watkins, Joseph Craig, Libby Waits, Rebecca Jayne French, Alice Readie, Aoife Kenny, Chloe Saunders and Jemima Lody.
This new production relocates the action to post-WW2 Maine (the piece is conventionally set in the 1870s).
Carousel is directed & choreographed by Nick Winston, produced by Celia Mackay, with set and costume design by Philip Witcomb (Mame), lighting design by Jason Taylor (Journey’s End), sound design by Chris Whybrow (West Side Story), casting by Anne Vosser (Strictly Ballroom) with Alastair Postlewaite as associate choreographer and Pete Kramer as production manager.
Also featuring new orchestrations by George Dyer with musical direction by Francis Goodhand.
Carousel has music by Richard Rodgers with book & lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel will play Kilworth House Theatre, running from 24th May – 3rd July 2022, with tickets on sale now.
