⭐ REPRESENTASIAN – AN EVENING OF ASIAN TALENT – WEST END FUNDRAISING CONCERT ANNOUNCED ⭐
REPRESENTASIAN, a one night only concert, celebrating some of the best Asian Musical Theatre performers in the country, and introducing some new talent to the West End stage, has been announced.
This concert aims to provide access and
opportunity, promote diversity and inclusivity, and to highlight the very best Asian artists.
REPRESENTASIAN is fundraising to create a scholarship for young, Asian individuals to train in the arts, and widen the talent pool, partnering up with The Boury Academy.
Following six sold-out shows at the Phoenix Arts Club, REPRESENTASIAN is heading to the West End, featuring a star-studded cast including Musical Theatre legend Joanna Ampil, West End stars Desmonda Cathabel, Lucca Chadwick-Patel and Joe Thompson-Oubari, with Sejal Keshwala, Aaron Teoh, Parisa Shahmir and Soophia Foroughi.
Hosted by Eastenders icon and star of “Now That’s What I Call A Musical” Nina Wadia, and featuring Eunice De Castro, Reuben Khan, and Rayhan Lee, who will be making their West End debut.
REPRESENTASIAN founder Ben Armstrong says: “Representation matters a great deal to me, as a mixed race Sri Lankan individual, and want to give back to the Asian community. Providing access and opportunities to young people is how to widen the talent pool, strengthen representation and hopefully inspire others to commit to inclusivity and diversity in the arts. I can’t wait to share this show with a West End audience.”
The creative team includes founder and casting director Ben Armstrong, with musical direction, arrangements and orchestrations by Natalie Pound, designs by Ghostlight Productions, with further creative teammembers to be confirmed. Produced by Aixa Amarante Productions.
REPRESENTASIAN will play the Lyric Theatre, on Monday 28th April 2025 – 7.30pm, with tickets on sale now.
