The cast for the London revival of Stephen Sondheim’s ROAD SHOW has been announced.
Starring Reece Richardson (he/him) as Wilson Mizner, Oliver Sidney (he/him) as Addison Mizner, Robert Finlayson (he/him) as Papa, Katherine Strohmaier (she/her) making her London debut as Mama and Rhys Lambert (he/they) as Hollis Bessemer.
Featuring in the ensemble are Folarin Akinmade (he/him), 2024 winner of the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year Madeleine Morgan (she/her) and Emily Friberg (she/her), making her musical theatre debut.
At the dawn of the 20th century, two brothers driven by their dying father’s charge to seize the boundless opportunities of the New World set off to find their fortune. From the frenzy of the Gold Rush to the real estate boom in Florida, Sondheim and Weidman’s complex, catchy, and darkly funny tale based on the true story of the Mizner Brothers chronicles the curdling of the American Dream.
From the team that brought us Assassins and Pacific Overtures, Sondheim’s final finished work is brought to life in all its sharp, vaudevillian glory.
ROAD SHOW will be directed & and choreographed by Amanda Noar (she/her), with associate director Isaac Bernier-Doyle (he/him), featuring musical direction by Harry Style (he/him), set design by Ruby Boswell-Green (she/her), costume design by Holly Chapman (she/her), lighting design by Simon Jackson (he/him) and produced by Annlouise Butt (she/her).
ROAD SHOW has music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, with a book by John Weidman and orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick.
ROAD SHOW will play Upstairs At The Gatehouse, running from 12th December 2024 – 12th January 2025, with tickets on sale now.
