⭐ RACHEL TUCKER & AYANA GEORGE TO STAR IN TODRICK HALL’S MIDNIGHT ⭐
Further casting has been revealed for Todrick Hall’s bold new original musical MIDNIGHT, it has been announced.
Olivier Award-nominated West End and Broadway star Rachel Tucker, known for her acclaimed portrayals in Wicked, Come From Away, and We Will Rock You. Tucker will star as Charlotte (Sharon Robinson will star as Charlotte, performing Saturday 15th November 2025).
Joining her is Broadway powerhouse Ayana George, celebrated for her performanceas Katherine Jackson in the Original Broadway Cast of MJ The Musical and her electrifying vocal work alongside artists such as Kanye West and Kirk Franklin, will take on the role of Ethel.
The workshop presentation will play seven performances only, at Sadler’s Wells East this November.
The workshop cast will also star previously announced Todrick Hall, Jeremy Beloate, Charlotte Odusanya, Ailsa Davidson, Charlotte Jaconelli, Georgina Onuorah, Barney Wilkinson, Ashlee Irish, Jill Marie Cooper, Watkins Smith Jr., Craig Armstrong and Brandon Lee Sears.
Featuring Callum Bell, Callum Macdonald, Christian Knight, Cruz-Troy Hunter, Elly Jay, Elizabeth Armstrong, Hollie-Ann Lowe, India Thornton, Jaime Taite, Jenni Thomasson, Joel Benjamin, Kamilla Fernandes, Lewis Mortier, Lizzy Rose Esin Kelly, Marlee Jay, Michael Anderson, Milan Cacacie, Oliver Adam Reynolds, Takaiyah Bailey, Theo Reece and Zarina Thompson.
Set in America’s South during the nineteenth century, MIDNIGHT is a sweeping story of love, conflict, and the search for understanding. Sung-through in the grand tradition of Hamilton, Les Misérables, and Rent, the show’s score blends gospel, rhythm and blues, classical, pop, rock, opera, folk, and classic musical theatre into a stirring, genre-defying tapestry of sound.
This workshop has been several years in the making, following an extensive period of development and creative exploration, marking an exciting step towards a hopeful full-scale production in the near future.
The workshop will be directed & choreographed by Todrick Hall, with assistant direction by Charlotte Jaconelli, lighting design by Rory Beaton, sound design by Sound Quiet Time, musical supervision by Mark Crossland, co-musical direction by Caitlin Morgan, co-musical direction & conducted by Marcus Carter-Adams and casting direction by Harry Blumenau CDG CSA, with casting associate Laura Seaborn.
