⭐ PIPPIN – THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT ANNOUNCED FOR BROADWAYHD ⭐
The 50th anniversary concert of PIPPIN is being made available to stream on BroadwayHD, it has been announced.
The 50th anniversary concert production of PIPPIN, captured live from London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane in April 2024, will arrive on BroadwayHD on 13th March 2025 and will be available to stream worldwide.
Performed to sold-out audiences, the production stars Tony Award winner Alex Newell (Shucked) as the Leading Player in a live-captured concert performance of Roger O. Hirson and Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz’s Tony-winning musical.
Featuring a 25 piece orchestra and 50 person choir, the special concert also starred Patricia Hodge, Lucie Jones, Cedric Neal, Zizi Strallen, Jac Yarrow, Ryan Heenan and Idriss Kargbo, with Amonik Melaco, Jak Allen-Anderson, Sally Frith, and Gleanne Purcell-Brown.
PIPPIN is a soul-searching exploration of one man’s journey to find himself, his place and purpose in life.
Featuring an infectiously unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz, including the classic songs “Corner of the Sky” and “Magic to Do”.
The 50th anniversary concert of PIPPIN was directed by Jonathan O’Boyle, featuring musical direction by Chris Ma, choreography by Joanna Goodwin, set & costume design by Polly Sullivan, lighting design by Jamie Platt, sound design by Adam Fisher, orchestrations by Simon Nathan based on original orchestration by Larry Hochman, casting director Jane Deitch and produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment & Carter Dixon McGill Productions.
PIPPIN – The 50th Anniversary Concert will be available to stream worldwide on BroadwayHD from 15th March 2025.
