Oh L’Amour follows Sam (Phong) on the first night of his journey cross country to attend a prestigious writer’s program in San Francisco. When his belongings are stolen, Savannah (Massard), a record store manager with big dreams of her own, offers Sam a couch and a job. Beau (Clark), a Texan with a heart of gold, and Bobby (Ortiz), a self-destructive DJ, are the men that sweep the two off their feet. Sam makes it to San Francisco, but at a high cost, and requires the help of AIDS activist Gabriel (Mackston) to set him back onto his creative journey.

The show was created by Paul Lavoie, who also wrote its book. Music & lyrics by Erasure’s Vince Clarke and Andy Bell.

Musical Direction & Arrangements by Mitchell Kaplan (Sandra Bernhard’s longtime musical director & co-producer of UnCabaret).

Michael A. Shepperd of LA’s award winning LGBTQ+ Celebration Theater returns as director.

This stage of the production’s development is crowd-funded through IndieGogo.
