⭐ NANNY – A COMEDY PLAY WITH SONGS – WORLD PREMIERE ANNOUNCED FOR BRISTOL OLD VIC & THEATRE ROYAL PLYMOUTH ⭐
The world premiere of NANNY – A COMEDY PLAY WITH SONGS has been announced for the Bristol Old Vic and Theatre Royal Plymouth.
Meet Lea and Amy. Below average nannies with bigger than average ambitions.
Every week they take the kids they look after to a ‘Stay and Play’ class and seize a moment between the snacks, songs, snot and screaming to plot the twists and turns of their real careers as a comedy double act.
NANNY will star Alana Ramsey as Amy and Lizzie Stables as Lea.
Matthew Floyd Jones (Kathy & Stella Solve a Murder!) writes sublime original music and songs for this world premiere of a hilarious new play about friendship, faltering, and staying true to yourself despite it all. Script and story by Alana Ramsey (The Crown), Lizzie Stables (The Inbetweeners), and Jenny Rainsford (Fleabag).
NANNY is directed by Jenny Rainsford, featuring design by Cecilia Carey, lighting design by Johanne Jensen, sound design by Asaf Zohar, produced by Bethany Cooper and executive produced by Liz Vogler for Folio Theatre.
Supported by The Foyle Foundation, The Leche Trust and The Golsoncott Foundation.
Development supported by Arts Council England and English Touring Theatre.
NANNY will play the Bristol Old Vic, running from 31st January – 10th February 2024, and Theatre Royal Plymouth on 27th & 28th February 2024.
