⭐ MURIEL’S WEDDING – THE MUSICAL – UK PREMIERE ANNOUNCED FOR CURVE LEICESTER – SPRING 2025 ⭐
The stage musical adaptation of MURIEL’S WEDDING will make its UK premiere next year, it has been announced.
The musical, based on the beloved 1994 film of the same name, will premiere at the Curve Theatre Leicester in Spring 2025.
MURIEL’S WEDDING – THE MUSICAL received its 2017 world premiere at Sydney Theatre Company, followed by an Australian tour in 2019.
Stuck in a dead-end life in Porpoise Spit, Muriel dreams of the perfect wedding – the dress, the church, the attention. Unfortunately, there’s one thing missing. A groom. Following her dreams to Sydney, Muriel ends up with everything she ever wanted. That’s when things start to go really wrong.
Experience one of the most iconic and loved Australian films of all time in this big, brash and very cheeky new musical.
MURIEL’S WEDDING – THE MUSICAL has a book by P.J. Hogan, who wrote and directed the original 1994 Australian film, with music & lyrics by Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall.
Featuring additional songs, originally written for ABBA by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, and Stig Anderson
MURIEL’S WEDDING – THE MUSICAL will play the Curve Leicester, running from 10th April – 10th May 2025.
