⭐ MRS DOUBTFIRE MUSICAL ANNOUNCED ⭐
A new musical adaptation of the classic Robin Williams film, Mrs Doubtfire, has been announced.
Tony-nominated actor, Rob McClure, will star in the title role of the world premiere production of Mrs. Doubtfire this winter at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre.
McClure received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Charlie Chaplin in Chaplin.
Additional casting for Mrs. Doubtfire will be announced at a later date.
Based upon the beloved 1993 film, Mrs Doubtfire will have a book by Karey Kirkpatrick & John O’Farrell.
Music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick & Karey Kirkpatrick (the Tony Award-nominated team behind Something Rotten).
Choreography by Lorin Latarro (Waitress), Music supervision by Ethan Popp (Tina) and Four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Hello, Dolly!) will direct.
This is one of my all-time favourite films! ! !
I hope they do a good job but I find it hard to believe you can come close to replicating the magic Robin Williams brought to that role.
