⭐ MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET REVIVAL – CAST & CREATIVES ANNOUNCED ⭐
The Barn Theatre announced the cast and creative team for their upcoming revival of the musical Million Dollar Quartet.
Million Dollar Quartet follows the events of the December 4, 1956 recording session at Memphis’ Sun Studio that brought four of the music’s best talents together for a once-in-a-life-time event: Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley.
The new production will star Joe Bence (Lord Dismiss Us) as Jerry Lee Lewis, Joe Butcher (Never Lost At Home) as Fluke, Olivia-Faith Kamau (professional debut, 2021 graduate) as Dyanne, AJ Jenks (Buddy – The Buddy Holly Musical) as Elvis Presley, Lucas Koch (2022 graduate) as Johnny Cash, Melker Nilsson (The Wicker Husband) as Brother Jay, Jay Osborne (Cilla – The Musical) as Carl Perkins and Simon Shorten (Les Misèrables) as Sam Phillips.
Million Dollar Quartet is based on an original concept by Floyd Mutrux, who also directed the original production. The new revival producton, which features the songs of the legendary performers and book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux.
Featuring iconic hits from the legendary performers’ back catalogues including “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Fever”, “I Walk The Line” and “Great Balls of Fire”.
The revival will be directed by Alex Sutton (Preludes) with movement and assistant direction by Maria Graciano, musical direction by Sam Beveridge, scenic design by Mike Leopold, costume design by Denise Cleal, lighting design by Andy Webb and sound design by Chris Cleal.
Million Dollar Quartet will play the Barn Theatre in Cirencester, running from 6th June – 16th July 2022, with tickets on sale now.
