⭐ MICHAEL MORPURGO’S PRIVATE PEACEFUL ANNOUNCED FOR BARN THEATRE ⭐
A new production of Simon Reade’s play adaptation of Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo has been announced for the Barn Theatre’s outdoor theater festival.
A co-production by Take Two Theatricals, BoxLess Theatre and the Barn Theatre.
Acknowledged by Michael Morpurgo (War Horse) as his favourite work, this one-man adaption by Simon Reade tells the story of a country lad fighting a war he doesn’t understand, for people he cannot respect.
Private Peaceful was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, won the Red House Children’s Book Award and won the Blue Peter Book Award.
Directed by Alexander Knott with Zoe Grain as associate director & movement director.
Cast includes Emily Costello and James DeMaine.
Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful will play from 17th – 22nd August 2020.
