⭐ LONGITUDE – A NEW MUSICAL – WORLD PREMIERE ANNOUNCED FOR UPSTAIRS AT THE GATEHOUSE – JUNE 2024 ⭐
The world premiere of new musical LONGITUDE has been announced for Upstairs at the Gatehouse.
From writer and producer Kaz Moloney comes an epic new musical about 18th century carpenter and clockmaker John Harrison. The genius who solved the problem of longitude and transformed seafaring forever and who lost almost everything in his quest to save others.
A true story of betrayal, obsession, and injustice, conquered only by the love of his family and the intervention of Mad King George.
Upstairs at the Gatehouse comments: “Our venue is quickly establishing itself as a vital part of the musical theatre landscape. In Longitude, we’re thrilled to present yet another exciting new work and continue our leading role in platforming and supporting new writers.”
LONGITUDE features original book by Robert Trippini and new book by Kaz Moloney, with lyrics by Kaz Moloney, and music by Kaz Moloney, William Godfree and David Moloney.
A portion of the profits from LONGITUDE will be donated to the RNLI.
LONGITUDE will play Upstairs at the Gatehouse, running from 13th June – 7th July 2024, with tickets on sale now.
