⭐ LONGITUDE – A NEW MUSICAL – UPSTAIRS AT THE GATEHOUSE – FULL CAST ANNOUNCED ⭐
The full cast has been announced for the world premiere of LONGITUDE, coming to Upstairs at the Gatehouse this June.
From writer and producer Kaz Moloney comes an epic new musical about 18th century carpenter and clockmaker John Harrison. The genius who solved the problem of longitude, transforming seafaring forever and who lost almost everything in his quest to save others.
A true story of betrayal, obsession, and injustice, conquered only by the love of his family and the intervention of Mad King George.
Starring David Phipps-Davis (The Phantom of the Opera, Oliver!) as John Harrison, alongside Claire Russell (Aspects of Love, Les Misérables) as Mother, John Harrison’s wife.
Joining them will be Imogen Opie as Lizzie Harrison, Alex Lyne as The Reverend and
Abigail Brodie as First Sea Lord, Chair of the Board and King George III.
Featuring Chris Agha in various roles, including Sir Edmund Halley, a member of the Board of Longitude and Astronomer Royal, with Troy Yip in various roles, including Sir Isaac Newton and Grog Thug.
With Sam Chisnall as William Harrison and Liam Bradbury as Adam Cox, both making their professional London debuts.
LONGITUDE features original book by Robert Trippini and new book by Kaz Moloney, with lyrics by Kaz Moloney, and music by Kaz Moloney, William Godfree and David Moloney.
A portion of the profits from Longitude will be donated to the RNLI.
LONGITUDE will play Upstairs at the Gatehouse, running from 13th June – 7th July 2024, with tickets on sale now.
