⭐ KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN – UK CINEMA RELEASE ANNOUNCED ⭐
The long-awaited UK release date for the musical film adaptation of Kander & Ebb’s KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN has been announced.
The film, written for the screen and directed by Bill Condon (Dreamgirls, Chicago), will finally be released in UK cinemas on 17th April 2026.
Dreamgirls and Beauty And The Beast director Bill Condon returns to the movie musical in this dazzling Technicolour-hued fantasy, based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.
Valentín (Diego Luna), a political prisoner, shares a cell with Molina (Tonatiuh), a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favourite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna (Jennifer Lopez).
The UK cinema release comes hot on the heels of the recently announced UK revival of the stage musical, which will be opening at the Curve Leicester, playing from 3rd – 25th April 2026, before heading to Bristol Old Vic, playing from 29th April – 16th May 2026 and finally Mayflower Studios, Southampton, playing from 2nd – 6th June 2026, with tickets on sale now.
