⭐ KACEY MUSGRAVES TIPPED TO JOIN LIVE-ACTION REMAKE OF DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID ⭐
American singer-songwriter and six-time Grammy winner Kacey Musgraves is reportedly joining the Disney’s highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
She is tipped to play the role of Vanessa, the human persona that Ursula transforms into.
Though her involvement with the film could be entirely different, as this news is currently unconfirmed.
Musgraves would join an all-star cast that includes Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah-Hauer King as Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy as the villainous Sea Witch Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, and Awkwafina as Scuttle.
Filming is expected to start production this Summer at Pinewood Studios in London.
Directed by Rob Marshall (Mary Poppins Returns, Chicago), the film will feature music from the 1989 animated classic as well as four brand-new songs from Alan Menken & Lin-Manuel Miranda.
