Casting has been announced for the Frinton Summer Theatre production of MY FAIR LADY.
Hosted in the famous Big Top Tent, Frinton Summer Theatre will stage one of Musical Theatre’s all-time favourites, 65 years after MY FAIR LADY first opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Starring Jennifer Louise Jones as Eliza Doolittle, Alan Cox as Henry Higgins, Clive Brill as Alfred Doolittle, Miles Richardson as Colonel Hugh Pickering, Brenda Longman as Mrs Higgins, Andrea Miller as Mrs Eynsford-Hill, Josh St Clair as Freddie Eynsford-Hill, Tracey Collier as Mrs Pearce and Daniel Hall as Zoltan Karpathy.
The ensemble includes Daniel Hall, Alice Redmond, Blake Jordan, Charlotte Clitherow, Toby Vanhaecke and Bethany Hurry.
Based on George Bernard Shaw’s 1913 stage play, Pygmalion, MY FAIR LADY follows the fortunes of lowly cockney flower-seller Eliza Doolittle and her relationship with Henry Higgins, an arrogant phonetics professor who boasts how he could teach her to speak ‘proper’ English.
Directed by Clive Brill, with musical direction by Tom F Arnold, choreography by Tracey Collier, with director’s assistants Toby Vanhaecke & Bethany Hurry.
MY FAIR LADY has a book & lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, with music by Frederick Loewe.
MY FAIR LADY will play Frinton Summer Theatre, running from 22nd August – 3rd September 2023, with tickets on sale now.
