HELLO, DOLLY! REVIVAL – STARRING IMELDA STAUNTON POSTPONED UNTIL 2022

⭐ HELLO, DOLLY! REVIVAL – STARRING IMELDA STAUNTON POSTPONED UNTIL 2022 ⭐

The highly anticipated new revival of Hello, Dolly! has been postponed until 2022, it has been announced.

It was due to star Imelda Staunton in the titular role, opening at the Adelphi Theatre in August 2020.

The production was to be directed by Dominic Cooke.

New dates will be announced in due course.

Hello, Dolly! tells the story of a meddlesome matchmaker who brings together the young clerk of a wealthy Yonkers merchant and his assistant with a widowed milliner and her assistant, while making sure she herself gets to marry the merchant, in Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart’s musical adaptation of Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker.

I’m really glad they are still doing it!

Imelda will be busy filming the fifth series of The Crown in 2021, hence why the production has been moved to 2022.
