The new musical GUYMART is set to play the Waterloo East Theatre, it has been announced.
After a successful London debut at the King’s Head Theatre in the Summer, GUYMART is throwing open its doors for new shoppers once again.
GUYMART is an exciting new musical which imagines gay hookup apps as a supermarket, where men are able to browse for and purchase their next sexual partner. We follow young and single Matt as he becomes part of the GUYMART stock, hoping to find the perfect man. However, things at GUYMART are not as they seem.
This is a musical shopping trip full of sex, fun, and romance, with a trolley full of humorous songs and comedy, poking fun at hookup apps and the kind of interactions they offer.
Starring Daniel Walford as Matt, Nick Sedgwick as Freddie, Viktor Andonov as Joe and Jack Jacobs as Alfie.
GUYMART has a book & lyrics by George Lacey, music by Richard Seaman. The production is directed by George Lacey, featuring musical direction by Richard Seaman.
GUYMART will play Waterloo East Theatre, running from 2nd – 12th November 2023, with tickets on sale now.
