⭐ GROUNDHOG DAY – THE MUSICAL – THE OLD VIC – CAST ANNOUNCEMENT ⭐
The Old Vic has announced the full cast for the return of the award-winning musical Groundhog Day.
Andy Karl, reprises his role as Phil Connors, the jaded weatherman who is forced to relive the same day over and over again.
Tanisha Spring (The Prince of Egypt, Moulin Rouge!) will star as Connors’ foil and earnest reporter Rita Hanson.
Also starring Jasmin Colangelo (swing/puppetry captain), Kelly Ewins-Prouse (swing/dance captain), Kamilla Fernandes (Debbie), Aimée Fisher (Joelle), Zack Guest (swing), Nick Hayes (Ralph), Jacqueline Hughes (Piano Teacher), Ashlee Irish (Larry), Chris Jenkins (Gus), Andrew Langtree (Ned Ryerson), Billy Nevers (Fred), Eve Norris (Nancy), Mark Pearce (Sheriff), Ben Redfern (Buster), Durone Stokes (Deputy), Alex Stoll (Billy), Jez Unwin (Jenson), Annie Wensak (Mrs Lancaster), and Matthew Whennell-Clark (swing/assistant dance captain).
Groundhog Day – The Musical features music & lyrics by Tim Minchin, with a book by Danny Rubin, based on the 1993 movie of the same name. Directed by The Old Vic artistic director Matthew Warchus.
Groundhog Day will play The Old Vic, running from 20th May – 12th August 2023, with tickets on sale now.
