⭐ GROUNDHOG DAY THE MUSICAL FINNISH PRODUCTION ANNOUNCED ⭐
The Olivier Award-winning Groundhog Day The Musical will get a Finnish production, it has been announced.
Phil Connors, a cynical Pittsburgh TV weatherman is sent to cover the annual Groundhog Day event in the small town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Caught in a time loop, he’s forced to relive the same day again and again… and again. As Phil becomes increasingly despondent, is there a lesson being learned and will he ever figure out the secret to break the cycle?
This new Finnish production will play at the Helsingin Kaupunginteatteri (Helsinki City Theatre) from 25th August – 31st December 2020.
Groundhog Day The Musical has a book by Danny Rubin with music & lyrics by Tim Minchin.
Based on the 1993 film of the same name written by Danny Rubin and Harold Ramis.
It will star Lari Halme and Maria Lund, in the roles made famous by Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell respectively. This new Finnish production will be directed by Samuel Harjanne.
