⭐ FUN HOME MUSICAL FILM ADAPTATION ANNOUNCED – STARRING JAKE GYLLENHAAL ⭐
A film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical, Fun Home, has been announced.
The stage musical, Fun Home, was adapted by Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori from Alison Bechdel’s 2006 graphic novel memoir of the same name.
The story concerns Bechdel’s discovery of her own sexuality, her relationship with her gay father, and her attempts to unlock the mysteries surrounding his life.
It was the first Broadway musical with a lesbian protagonist.
Jake Gyllenhaal to stated to play Bruce Bechdel, Ms.Bechdel’s father, with his production company developing the project.
Theatre director Sam Gold will be directing the film adaptation. He won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for Fun Home.
