⭐ FRIDA MODÉN TREICHL, HELEN SJÖHOLM & GUNILLA BACKMAN TO STAR IN SWEDISH PREMIERE OF STEPHEN SONDHEIM’S COMPANY ⭐
The Swedish premiere of the gender swapped revival of Stephen Sondheim’s COMPANY has been announced.
Following Marianne Elliott’s award-winning gender swapped West End & Broadway revival of COMPANY, the new version comes to the professional musical scene in Sweden, with Kulturhuset Stadsteatern being the first theatre in the world outside of London and New York to be given the opportunity to stage its own version, translated by Calle Norlén.
Starring some of Sweden’s very best musical artists including Frida Modén Treichl as Bobbie, with Helen Sjöholm and Gunilla Backman as Joanne.
Also starring Rennie Mirro as Harry, Sarah Jangfeldt as Sarah, Linda Olsson as Susan, John Alexander Eriksson as Peter, Lisette T Pagler as Jenny, Lucas Kruger as David, Robert Fux as Jamie, Joel Mauricio Almroth as Paul, Rolf Lydahl as Larry, Glenn Edell as Theo, David Alvefjord as PJ, Olof Åhman as Andy, with
Featuring Pia Ternström, Kitty Chan, James Lund and Jonas Schlyter as Ensemble.
Directed by Maria Sid, who has directed a number of different musicals, both in Sweden and in Finland. Most recently in the celebrated version of A Chorus Line at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.
COMPANY has music & lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, with a book by George Furth. Originally produced and directed on Broadway by Hal Prince, with orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick. Presented in collaboration with Music Theater International.
COMPANY will play Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Stockholm, Sweden, running from 29th August – 17th November 2024.
